Getting Started checklist

Built on scalable data structures, it gives users the visibility and flexibility to manage their portfolios and innovate at the speed of relevance. Initiatives are the foundation of VISION. They can be an innovation project, an idea, an opportunity—customized to your needs. From this single nerve center, you can visualize and interact with dozens of features to progress your initiative and accomplish your goals. Below is a checklist of actions to take as you are getting started.

  • Explore

    • Use the search bar on Explore Initiatives to find initiatives relevant to your focus areas.

    • You can evaluate each project based on its unique data.

      • Organization and Duty Location are included under each initiative.

      • The Synopsis of the initiative will appear in the middle of the initiative card.

      • The Last Activity field will shows when the data was last updated.

      • The Phase displays the maturity of the initiative (ranges ideation to enterprise scale).

    • You can click the Advanced Search dropdown for a more detailed search experience.

  • View existing initiatives

    • Click the title of any initiative to see more details.

    • If you are interested in the capability, you can join the team or click on the team members icon to connect and get more information about the initiative.

  • Create an initiative

    • Click on My Portfolio on the left navigation.

    • Click Create Initiative.

    • Complete the prompts to add information to your initiative.

    • Add team members that have already created an account.

    • Upload documents that provide details about your initiative.

    • Select the organization where the initiative is currently being worked (most often this is the organization you are assigned to).

    • Submit your initiative to start connecting and collaborating.
